diaper bags and slings

I plan on carrying my baby in a sling much of the time - although I obviously don't know which kind of sling will work best for us right now.

What kind of diaper bag would you all suggest?  I generally lean towards ones that are backpacks or messenger bags, but these seem incompatable with slings.  Any advice?

    I have one that can be worn as a messenger or a backpack.  I normally wear it as a backpack.  To be honest, it is a bit of a pita when wearing the sling because the strap on the side I wear the sling is always sliding off, but sometimes I can manage to tuck the bag strap under the sling fabric to keep it in place.  Overall, I would call it a minor annoyance, but not an incompatibility.

    I've used a messenger bag with success -- I just put it on before I put the sling on with the shoulder cap of the sling over the top of the bag strap.  Keeps everything in place.

    I put a diaper, a paci and a ziploc baggie of wipes inside my sling and I've never had a problem.  I don't want to carry a diaper bag if I have J in the sling or the moby.
