DC was vomitting last week so we gave him pedialyte.
He drank maybe only 6 oz and didn't want to drink anymore.
We have a lot leftover... this stuff isn't cheap and seems like a waste since you can't keep it for long.
Do thye make single servings or is there an alternative to pedialyte, just wondering?
TIA
Re: Is there an alternative to Pedialyte?
I beleive there are single servings. There are also pedialyte pops that you can put in the freezer (or just let them drink the unfrozen stuff straight).
There are generics all over the place, too - target, walmart, grocery brand, etc. And different flavors. DS wouldn't touch the fruit flavor but loved the bubble gum. Weird. We ended up buying all of the flavors.
They do make single serves but they're more expensive. We tend to buy the store brand.
Do you have a popsicle mold? You could probably pour your leftovers in the mold and make popsicles. If not, you might try freezing in an ice cube tray and then just thawing out next time he needs it. Don't know if that would work but it might.
When we were doing this, I recall reading that gatorade was bad for little babies. (DS was maybe 8m?)
But I'm sure it's not the end of the world, either.
**I heard about the gatorade trick too. Interesting on the color thing though, good to know. Try that.
And I guess in case it stains you'd want a colour that matches your living room, lol.
