I was recommended to get the First Years BPA Free Breastflow bottles. I have some Medela ones too since I learned that you can pump and save in those ones, but another friend who BF'd said that the breastflow bottles are more like the real thing for a bottle because there is less flow
To start off and for "trial and error", we got one Medela, one Breastflow, one Playtex and I think one more bottle from the breastfeeding aisle (can't remember the brand).
We also have the free bottle Babies R Us gave us and the free bottle Motherhood Maternity gave us.
I'm hoping to get Breastflow bottles but they don't carry them in Canada so I asked a friend to pick me up some on his next road trip. If those don't work I will try the Adiri bottles but they are ridiculously expensive.
I'm going to try the Avent bottles, but not for any particular reason. SIL recommended so that's what I registered for. There's too many to choose from!
Me: 30, DOR with a FSH of 12.5
DH: 31, no issues
4-6/2012 100mg of Clomid + trigger + IUI/TI = BFN
7/2012 150mg of Gonal-f + trigger + IUI = BFN
8/2012 Surprise unmedicated BFP!! Due May 8, 2013
I got three different brands: Born Free wide neck, Dr. Browns wide neck, and Drop Ins. I got a free VentAire from Motherhood, and my sister is giving me an Avent, and an Adiri... so I really have a smorgasbord of bottles for LO to try.
I used the drop-ins and advent for DD#1 and plan on using them again.
I really liked the Advent ones for the first few weeks.. not sure why, I just did I went and bought some new BPA free ones for #2.
We tried the Breast Flow ones w/ #1 but DD hated them. I didn't like them either.. too many parts to clean/put together (2 nipple pieces) and I just thought they were weird w/ the 2 nipple pieces (which are meant to slow down flow to be like BF). It just frustrated DD.
