If YOU had thrush, what did it feel like?

My nipples don't really hurt, but I keep having these sharp pains deep in my breasts. Not terrible, but uncomfortable.

    It felt like my nipples were on FIRE!

    When I BFed or pumped they hurt, shooting pains. They itched and hurt when they rubbed against clothes.

    I have thrush right now actually.  Nipples are always sore expecially after feedings and more so at night.  I also have sore breasts and pains that shoot from my breasts into my back.  I feel the pain under my shoulder blades.  I also have very red nipples and areolas that my LC told me were signs of thrush because it looks like a rash.

    This, and it was agony. I was on the big island of Hawaii, which is very unpopulated, and I couldn't find nursing cream to save my life. Once I finally found some to provide a barrier between DS and me we both cleared up pretty fast.
