Babies on the Brain

I'm ready for #2, but hubby's not so sure...

Ok ladies.. how willing and ready was your significant other at the idea of #2? My hubby and I have a 4 year old son.  We just got married june 20th, but have been together for 10 years.... in the past month or so I have been having what I call Baby Fever! Baby on the brain is it! But my hubby isn't so sure, I think he wants more kids, but is leery that he could love another child as much as he loves our 1st. I tried to explain that it isn't like you have to cut your love in half... it just grows (which he should know coming from a family of 6 kids) .. how can i get him to come around to the idea? Was your hubby or significant other always so sure about a 2nd child?

We are taking our honeymoon here in a few months and going to visit the US Virgin Islands for a few days, I would really like that to be our "ok lets go" starting point. But I'm not sure so he will be so sure on that haha. I would never push my hubby to have another child if he didn't want to, and I'm not the type that bugs him about it.. I want it to be us 100%... I was just curious if you other mommies had any like situation your second time around?

  • You could do one of two things...

1.) Get him drunk, it works... ::points to ticker::

    OR

2.) Talk to him about it.  You may both have to compromise.

  • Definitely talk to him about it. And keep an open mind, compromise is usually the key. Of course, you could do what one of my friends did...Tell your DH that there's no reason to BD unless you're TTC. Didn't take long for #2 to show, then. LOL!
