Anyone near Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, or Hartford CT?

I have never been to any of these places and there is a chance we could move to one of them.  Just was looking for feedback on living there - cost of living, crime, community and things to do, etc.

    I grew up in Vernon CT which is about 15 miles outside of Hartford. My mom still lives there. I love the area. My dad lives in Simsbury CT, near Hartford which is also nice much more pricey though.

    Jodi lives in CT as does Amy.
