Poop ?

LO hasn't had a poopy diaper since yesterday morning. She was really cranky and uncomfortable last night, but has been pretty good today. I know some babies can go a few days without pooping, but is it normal for a 3 week old to not be pooping everyday? Should I be concerned enough to call the Dr. or wait and see what tomorrow brings? I just don't know what to think/do!

my pedi said if the baby didnt have poopie in 3 or more days to call when DD was that age

Are you breastfeeding? If so, LO is probably ok. If LO is FF, you might want to call the doctor. I EBF and my son went at least 2 days if not 3 days and he was fine. Just beware for a blowout. lol I hope that helps.

My LO is now almost 5 weeks old, and has been pooping every other day since he was 3 weeks old. Since he's eating well (EBF) and gaining weight, and his poop is not hard but still peanut-butter like, my doc said nothing to worry about. As long as you have a normal number of wet diapers and your LO is eating and not projectile vomiting, pooping every other day or less is probably normal.
