3rd Trimester

Return of morning sickness?

I had bad morning sickness from 6w to 27w and thought I was free from it but now it looks like it's returned :(  Anyone else experience this or have any idea why it would be coming back?  I have a doctors appt on Thur but I thought I'd see if any of you could relate.

Re: Return of morning sickness?

  • I had alot of false alarms during my 1st trimester, and yup it's back. It started with me jumping out of my seat for a second, thinking I'd have to make a run to the bathroom. And freaking out poor DH in the process. I had asked my doc and he said it's normal to deal with morning sickness near the end of your pregnancy. I guess it's way of my body dealing with the baby growing and his blood pumping through his veins. He made an advice of maybe having smaller meals through out the day and staying away from the big three meals.

  • Yup, mine is back, althought not as bad as the first tri, when it lasted ALL day long. I had it from 6 weeks until 20 weeks, and it came back around 30 weeks. Now it's actually just in the morning.

  • I've had it throughout this entire pregnancy, although it was definitely the worst in 1st tri.  The past few days it's been really bad.  Luckily I still have some Zofran left over, which I've been taking as needed.
  • I never had morning sickness until my 3rd!  Now I average about every other day - especially when my DH makes something with or makes eggs.  No more breakfast sandwiches are allowed in my kitchen!
  • I had HORRIBLE (borderline HG) ms from 6wk-20wks where I was constantly nauseated and was throwing up multiple times a day. Now within the last week the nausea has returned but not at near the force as in 1st tri. Sunday was no fun for me....puked up a delicious italian meal an hour after I had it....needless to say, it was not as yummy coming back up as it was going down lol.

try zofran or ginger tea with lemon.

  • I'm having this problem too.  It's not quite as bad as 1st tri but throwing up is never fun.  Sad  I asked my MW about it and she said it's a combination of hormones and the baby disrupting things since it's running out of space.
