When my hair was that long it got weighed down and stringy. I cut it just at/below my shoulders with long layers...I loved it! It looked so much better-healthier, and it was easier to manage.
You def need a good, professional cut & style. You will be amazed at how much of a difference it will make & how good you will feel afterwards!! I would cut it to about shoulder length with it graduated in the back and do some color or highlights. I color my hair at home for $6/ month with Clairol Natural Instincts & get TONS of compliments on the color.
Get some hair magazines at the grocery store or Target/ K-Mart & start looking thru them to find something you like. Bring that with you to your hairdresser. It's always better to have a photo. GL!
Cut, cut, and then cut some more. I think just below your chin with layers. You have great hair, but its not doing anything for you that long and stringy.

Somehow, I think it is currently making you look older than you are!

You're hawt! Your hair would be perfect with a just below the shoulders/long layers cut. If you're in the mood for drastic, get a semi permanent redish color.

I would say layers too, but I don't think you're into daily styling and layers without styling are just bad news for most hair types.
I've always wondered - is that old perm or natural curl because I see that B's hair is pretty curly?
BTW - I got hair dye to do mine since my highlights from June are about 2" from my scalp, and I'm scared! It's LIGHT brown. Besides these highlights, I've only ever gone DARK, never light. If I can stomach it, so can you!
Nope, never had a perm, that's my hair. B's hair has a little wave like mine but not curly.
Yes but you are used to messing with your hair, I am SO not a risk taker. I only started highlights around my wedding, that was my only experience with color.
Re: Since we're in Frump mode - WWYD with this?
LOL - your facial expression says it all!
You know I think you're beautiful! I'd like to see your hair all one length with a blunt, straight cut about boob length - so 4-6 inches off.
And if you're feeling extra saucy, a DIY dye job of light brown with maybe a slight auburn hue.
I could do these both for you for free.

So, verdivt is, I definitely need a cut!

IT IS! Definitely is!

Afirmative. It just needs to be refreshed.

thank you everyone! you are all so sweet!
I used to get layers around my face all the time, you can see it now by my boobs. lol
It didn't require much maintenance for me since it was only around my face. I am not a maintenance type of girl, I need to wash and go.
