What is your favorite game to play with friends?
We have Scattergories, Apples to Apples, Phase 10 and well..that's about it. We love having game night but hate that our friends have to provide the games. I'd love to stock up on a few fun ones and possibly introduce our friends into some new ones as well.
What do you recommend?
TIA!

Re: nbr:: Favorite board/card game
Taboo, Guesstures and Spades. A recent trend in popularity is Settlers of Catan. But I think you need to have a crowd that's "into it."
Oh, and I highly recommend "Table Topics" -- less of a game, more of a great discussion starter. Everytime we whip it out people LOVE it and ask us where we got it from. (https://www.tabletopics.com/)

Cranium. It's even more fun if you're drunk.
Pass the Pigs
Trivial Pursuit, 90s edition.
Screw your Neighbor (card game)
A**hole (card game)
Hearts
Unable to even.

I like to play Uno and Yatzee when we are camping. OH and we have fun dice game called Left Right Center. You can just play with the chips or with money it makes it more fun.

Cranium, definitely! Also Uno Attack and Pictionary.
We also have Munchkin nights with DH's friends. It's a spoof of role-playing games (which they used to do- NMS) and pretty funny, though it takes a bit to learn.

Lots of good ideas mentioned already. I have to agree with Cranium, Guesstures and Taboo. Catch Phrase is another fun one I didn't see on the list and a good game for non-game players is Sequence.
Card games are easy and fun. Hearts, Spades, Hand & Foot, Screw Your Neighbor. You can get a lot of mileage out of 4 decks of cards.
Pictionary is a huge fav!!
If you have a playstation/X Box etc BUZZ Trivia is alot of fun & Singstar! Singstar with a few drinks is one of our favorite things to do with good friends in the comfort of our lounge room
We are big gamers at our house and we play all sorts of games. Some of my favorites are...
Carcassonne (it's like a puzzle game where everyone builds a map and you own farms, roads and city's)
Guillotine ( a card game)
Telephone Pictionary (its a GREAT party game, with no real winner, etc, that has everyone in hysterics - you just need paper and pens/pencils)
Snorta! ( a kids board game that is funny for adults too!)
Blink ( a fun quick card game. I played it with braveangels dh. He won, much to my sons delight.
)
Puerto Rico (like Settlers of Catan, but more for smaller crowds)
Bunco (a dice game)
Skipbo (my 100 year old G.Grandma's favorite. She calls it 'Skip")
Card Games...
Hand and Foot (its nice to see someone else mention this game, it's a great one!)
Canasta (like hand and foot)
65 (requires 65 cents)
Spoons
I forgot...
Tripoloy (like poker, kinda)
Mexican Train (Domino game)

Scene It? We have the Disney version and have the most fun just randomly trying to guess the answers then actually playing the board game.;)
My faves are Apples to Apples, Balderdash, Scattergories, Taboo, Pictionary and Guesstures.
I always really want to like Cranium, but I feel like it must be too easy or something because we always finish really quickly.
