bigger busted girls...

I need some new bras.  I've done le mystere before and loved it...  I need to head to Nordies for a fitting.  I had one done TERRIBLY there once... (they put me in like an F cup...  uh NO.  I went back and the woman was like, "oh honey... who told you to wear THIS???"   Lane bryant bras suck.   I just returned 4 that were fine in the fitting room and blew when I got home.  Thier cups are always too big.   and TMI...  my band is larger...  my cup is a c or d depending on the manufacturer....

I;m thinking nordstrom run or maybe the rack if I know what I am looking for...

thanks girls!!

I agree.  I say go to Nordstroms to get sized and try some on.  Then check the rack, I have gotten mine there recently for $27 (normally $75).

I told you this last night!  You obviously weren't paying attention.

  • I'm big boobed plus fat - so big around too.   I hate buying bras.  I have some from Lane Bryant that I have learned to like, but they're discontinued now of course.

I have a Glamorise brand bra that fits well, but isn't very pretty.  There's a website called biggerbras.com that has a lot of options if your'e willing to deal with the buy and return of on line shopping.

  • As someone who is currently a 42G (G as in good god, they make them that big?!?), i recommend Nordstrom. They did such a good job of fitting me and also not making me feel like a circus freak!

    This, exactly.

You can often find them discounted at the Rack, depending on your size. I would recommend giving the real nordys another shot at sizing you though. Maybe you just had bad luck last time. I've found them to be really good.

Also Natori is a comfy (but pricy) brand.?

This and I need new bras desperately. Too bad Wacoal doesn't make nursing bras. I HATE nursing bras.

ETA: The DO make nursing bras....I need to get me one!

  • i've used wacoal but i LOVE LOVE LOVE natori.  i got fitted at nordie's and i've never looked back.  best bra ever and gives big boobies the perfect sexy boob shape :)  plus they look great under tight t-shirts too...no nip action.

  • I have the opposite problem from you....smaller band size but huge cup size.  Can you say H cup for hellish and heavy?!  Anyway, I totally recommend getting fitted at Nordstrom.  I do this at least once per year if my weight is fluctuating or I just had a baby or two to make sure I have the right size.  Sometimes I don't get a very good fit there and will go back for another fitting.  Once I even asked for their most experienced fitter and had really good luck with her.  They should be able to tell you which brand works best for your booby type and give you some choices.

They are the only store I can find bras in and while there are a few manufacturers that make my size, there is only one brand that actually fits.  I haven't worn a regular bra in so long now I can't remember what brand it is!  It's not important though since you need the opposite of me.

    Good luck!

  • This is a great thread!  I'm a DD and I hate bra shopping, too.  I totally agree on Lane Bryant bras sucking.  They're too stretchy.  I wear a bigger band size, plus the big cups.  It kills me to pay a fortune for bras, but I'm gonna look into a couple brands mentioned here.  I've been living with old bras that don't fit all that well b/c I hate that I went up a size and I hate shopping for new ones, just as much.

  • OK, question for the ladies who've had bra fittings... how embarrassing is it?  I'm very modest around strangers and there's no way I'd be ok to be bra-less in a room with the lady.  Do you always have a bra on, at least?
