It's in Ashboro - https://www.nczoo.org/. It's about a 2 hour drive for us as well. It's not too bad of a drive from most places though since it's fairly close to a couple of state highways.
Ashboro, NC. Have you ever checked out Hollywild in Inman (SC)? Its a small zoo but pretty cool for an afternoon! I went there a couple years ago with kids at church and was pleasantly surprised! I would be up for a GTG there sometime if you didn't want to drive all the way to Ashboro which I know is a 2 hour drive for me (and I'm 45 min north of you).

Totally BIP as a former NC & SC resident ...
Hollywild has an awesome Christmas light thing too! You get to drive through and look at the lights, then feed deer, pet camels, bottle feed goats, etc. It starts the week of Thanksgiving. We do it every year.

Bad question, but where is the Zoo? I know its gonna be a heck of a drive for us but I've been wanting to take Gavin to the zoo really badly.

Count me in!
BUT--please don't shun me if I put my baby in a stroller instead of wearing her around the zoo. She's heavy!
Ha ha - all modes of baby transport are welcome of course ;-)
