Not really. The basement had some water in it yesterday, but it's drying out. Just in time for the next wave of storms, so it seems. My neighborhood got off pretty easy, but a few neighborhoods around us got closed off. Here's a picture of a car lot about a mile up the road from me:
Other areas were hit really hard. Seven people have died so far, including a 2-year old that got ripped out of his mother's arms by the flood waters. Yesterday was really rough. All the schools in the metro area are closed just in case. DS's daycare is open and we took him in because the rain stopped last night, but DH is working from home just so he can get to him quickly if need be.
ETA: I didn't know you were in ATL as well. Then you already know all that stuff. I'm at work right now, but we closed early yesterday and if it gets bad again today I'm gonna bounce.
we're in Gwinnett co, right on the Chattahoochee River. If it rains again like it did yesterday, the main road is going to be washed out.
Our roof is leaking. But no flooding. Good times!

I'm here for now, but at the first sign of heavy rain I'm out. I took the Tahoe today just in case. It literally saved my life yesterday. The house is good, but I've been afraid to look at the backyard.
Meanwhile, Claire is SO CUTE!! I looked at your beach pictures yesterday on FB, how did she do on the trip? I'd like to take Cole on a vacay this fall, but the beach might be out so we're thinking about the mountains.

The beach was GREAT! Hectic, but a good time. Cole is looking like he's becoming a handsome young man
I'm sure he would love the mountains! Perfect age to hike with him on your back! We've rented cabins with https://www.blueridgecabinrentals.com/ before and the cabins are awesome, and not far. You should plan it around Octoberfest!
We're on the Lilburn side of Lawrenceville. Our area wasn't too bad, but if much more rain comes this week I think the situation will get bad. I'm just glad that our house is at the highest point of the neighborhood. Our roof is holding up (for now), but we've had trouble with it in the past. Yuck. Hope everyone stays dry!
