What travel system do you have?

I'm researching travel systems and would like to spend under $200. Do you have any recommendations?

  • We have graco sungride and the snap and go! i love it especially the huge basket on the snap and go.

  • I have a graco quattro tour and hate it.  It's HUGE, hard to maneuver and takes up way too much room in the trunk.  I ended up getting a baby jogger city mini w/ careseat adapter and love love love it.

  • I don't remember what we paid for ours, but we have the Chicco travel system and LOVE it.  We got an extra car seat for DH's car.
  • We have the Graco travel system (Melbourne from Target).  We love it, but I think I would have preferred a Snap 'n Go stroller and the Snugride Infant Carrier.  With the extra money saved I would have used it for something else, like a really nice lightweight stroller.
  • We have the grace quatro tour with snugride 32 seat.  We love it, but the infant seat part is pretty heavy and since it is biggerthan the standard it doesn't fit in shopping carts well.  But we love it so much that it doesn't matter.  Would definitely recommend it.  The stroller maneuvers soooo smooth and easily.  But i do think it was over $200...

    Same here. I love it.

  • I don't have a travel system, but I do have the Evenflo stroller that comes as a travel system.  I've been very happy with it.  It takes up a little more room in the trunk and weighs 20 lbs, but it's easy to push and DD naps great in it.  I really like the handle with it's one hand steering thing.

  • Trust me, go with a snap-n-go and an infant carseat.  The TS are so big and bulky, and heavy.  When I was registering, I was going to go with a TS until I actually tried them out in the store and got recs from recent mommy friends.  They all said to ditch the TS and go with a snap-n-go.  I am SO glad I listened to them.

I have the Baby Trend snap-n-go and the Chicco KeyFit 30 infant seat. The snap-n-go is like 7 lbs and is very easy to get in/out of SUV.

  • I have the Graco Quattro Tour Deluxe.  It's a little heavy, but I'm pretty weak and have no problem with it.  I drive a Mazda 626, so I don't have a big car.  You'd be surprised what you can fit in the trunk with it!

I don't understand the Snap n' Go love here.  I think they look cheap and then when your child outgrows the infant carrier you still need another stroller.

I also like that it came with Snugride 32.  Tillie will be able to stay in it for a long time, especially because she's not huge.  We won't need to get a convertible carseat until 9 months at the earliest.

I would recommend going to BRU and trying strollers out.  Push them around, fold them up and lift them. Just see what you like!  I knew I would like the stroller I had because it was one my mom had for my little sister. (She's 7.5.)

Mine was over $200, but other patterns might be cheaper.  I liked ordering from Amazon.com because there was no shipping and no sales tax.  That saved a lot.
