I have a serious question that may be TMI:
For those of you with an IUD, did you notice that your banjingo had a metalic smell after your periods. I swear that I constantly smell like iron. It is kinda gross. I know I don't have an infection and I am told that the smell is totally in my head, but it is freaking me out. One of the side effects of both the copper and Mirena IUDs is metalic scented discharge.
Did anyone else experience this, and if so, how long did it last? Or am I just a freak, as I suspect I am. TIA!

I have the Mirena as well and have had 2 periods on it so far but haven't noticed a metallic smelling discharge.
See, I think that I am just a freak. I also have periods that last 2+ weeks, and I am convinced that I am experiencing every negative side effect there is on Mirena.
My husband says the smell is totally in my mind. Maybe it is.
