What all did you need to buy for baby 2? I feel like I don't need anything. But clearly, I do, right?
I was thinking of getting a snap n go b/c I really wish I had had one originally. But then I was thinking maybe not b/c my Peg Perego works with an infant car seat and has a standing platform on the back in case Ben wants to ride. My friend also has a sit n stand that she'll give me if I want it.
I have a car seat, bouncy seats, bumbo, exersaucer, etc...
I'm putting hte baby in Ben's old room, so it's all ready. I'm having another boy in the winter, so I don't feel like I need clothes. I might buy new socks since I have no idea what happened to all of the baby socks. But what else?
Do I really need nothing????
Re: moms of 2 (or more)
What about newborn onsies? I know a lot of ours got badly stained and I just threw them away instead of packing them up.
Are you doing those cool letters like you did for Ben?
you know I never even pu tthose in Ben's room. I finally just put them in the play room (that's sort of half a bonus room upstairs) maybe 6 months ago. But yeah, I should make the name for the other kid too. Of course he needs a name first.
I guess I should inventory, but I think I'm set on onesies even.
I don't count
Too much space between my kids - so I had gotten rid of everything, so I had to REBUY it all! Thank godness for Baby showers
Easter 2011
You sound like you're set! Obviously you need diapers and wipes again but other than that, nothing much has changed. We needed new burp rags because I turned the old ones into dust clothes, new plain white onesies because I didn't keep those, new bottles because of the BPA thing and new clothes for 3-6 months because DS1 hit that size in summer but DS2 is wearing this size into fall. It's much easier this time around in many respects. You aren't as stressed about what you HAVE to have and in many cases, you already have everything.
burp cloths... i should get more of those.
I have a swing - it's actually new. Our previous swing was a hand me down of a hand me down and it sucked. I passed it along. And one of my other friends was debating buying a swing so I offerred to split it with her - so we'll get that one in a few months.
Sheets are fine.
We have bouncy seats (2 of them), and we don't have a jumperoo though b/c Ben hated that. If we decide we need one, I'll CL to find one I guess.
What I'm really worried about is that this baby will be big enough that all of these baby clothes will end up being the wrong season.
What about one of those big baby "sponges" - for bathtime? Nice thick hooded towels? Changing "station" stuff for the living room or room other than his nursery to change his diaper? We always changed P (still do) on her changing pad in her room but with Ryan it was easier to change him whereever we were in the house to keep an eye on P. Ben is older, so that might not be an issue.
Did you get Ben anything from the baby? Like something to keep him entertained while you BF? Would he like his own baby to feed? My nephew totally played daddy with a couple of dolls after his 2 younger sisters were born.

ah bibs! I bet I need bibs. And definitely wash cloths.
I had a changing set up downstairs for Ben... so I'll re-enact that for baby 2.
ANd I do need to get a present from the baby to Ben. And from Ben to the baby.
And yeah, Ben being older I can just let him roam around more easily. It's so nice that I don't feel like he's going to rip the house apart or kill himself anymore.
Oh he does have a baby doll. I'll have to make sure we start playing with it again soon.
