Did anyone betas not quite double?

So the RE's office called and my betas were 514 on Thursday late afternoon and Saturday morning beta was only 950. ?The nurse said the doc thinks it is fine since he did not order another blood draw but of course after two mc this freaks me out. Did anyone LO turn out fine even if betas did not double exactly? Thanks, i guess i am just trying to ease my mind since our first ultrasound is not for another 10 days.

    This actually sounds almost exactly like my son's betas.  The first set was 5,853 on a Thurs afternoon, then 9,000 on a Sat morning.  I had a doubling time of ~53 hours.  I think your betas sound pretty good.  Of course, I am not a doc, but they sound pretty darn close to doubling in 48hrs, and the guidlines are w/in 48-72 hours.  Good luck at your u/s in 10 days!

    My betas did not exactly double (see sigature) - from CD15 to CD17, they went up by about 50%.  The doc wasn't worried, but I was pretty freaked, b/c I had to wait a week for the ultrasound.

    I had the ultrasound last week, and betas were way up, and they were able to see the sac and beginning of the fetal pole.  I don't know if this means it will be successful yet or not, but I was quite relieved (esp. since my previous pregnancy was ectopic, and this confirmed that everything is in the right place this time).

    Also, since you didn't have a full 48 hours between blood draws, think your numbers look great!  Try not to stress too much (I know how hard it is, though!)

    My first two didn't double either ... first was 168, second was 286 three days later. It worried me, but three days after that they were almost 1,200 - as long as they're going up pretty well, you should be in good shape. Good luck!

    I had slow increasing numbers and the doctor was worried. I started testing later (5 weeks) and went 5000, 10000, 15000, 20000, 30000, 45000 - each test was 3-4 days apart and should have doubled.  I then had a good ultrasound at 7 weeks with heartbeat of 150+ and have just had a second good ultrasound on Sat at 11 weeks with a good heartbeat. The baby is measuring exactly right (4 cm!) and everything looks good.

    Mine didn't exactly double.  My first was 46 and second was 86 forty-eight hours later.  One week after it was 86, it went up to 1470 so in the end, it caught up with doubling.  As long as it's doubling in 48-72 hours, you shouldn't be too concerned-  I know that's easier said than done :).  Good luck!
