High Risk OB - Fairfax/Loudoun Area

Anyone have any good rec's for a High Risk OB for the Fairfax/Loudoun area?  We moved to the area last year and are ready to TTC, and I need a high risk doctor (had pPROM at 32 weeks).  Thanks in advance!

  • I think my OB's practice handles high-risk... they deliver out of INOVA Fairfax Hospital. And I live in Loudoun, but I would not consider going elsewhere :)

  • Perinatal Associates of Northern VA- I highly recommend Dr.Khoury.  I drove from Ashburn to Fairfax all the time to see him.   His bedside manner could use a little polishing, but he is the best in the area. He came highly recommended to me last year when I lost my baby due to an early onset of HELLP syndrome. He just delivered me via c-section last month. I had lots of complications this time around as well but he treated me and my baby girl, although small, is perfectly healthy.
  • I had pPROM at 19 weeks -- I stayed with my primary care OB with consultations with the Northern VA Perinatologists...(originally we weren't expected to maintain the pregnancy since we ruptured so early)...st

Out of curiousity, is there a reason you are already looking for a peri? I had heard the risks of a second pregnancy with pPROM are slim...Did you have a specific cause to your pPROM (i.e. infection or what not)

Just curious... we did see the perinatologists based out of Fairfax INVOVA (we saw one dr at Fair Oaks INOVA).
