1st Birthday...starting to freak out

The invitations are out and RSVP's are rolling in.  I added up the list of everybody who I thought would probably attend (and that's not everybody invited) and it's about 80-85.  Ack!  I'm starting to hope some folks are out of town.  Where will I put everybody?

I think I'm going to scratch my grand ideas of baking a ton of stuff etc.  With this crowd, a keep it simple stupid approach is best.

  • Wow, that's more people than I'm inviting, but it totally makes me feel better someone else out there is having more than 50 guests. Are they all going to be in your home? And spill the beans...what's vibe/theme are you going for?

    At least they're RSVP'ing Smile

  • At least they're RSVPing! We have invited about that many but have few responses so far and it's driving me nuts.

I'm more freaked about her actually turning 1 than the party - I'm both sad that the first year is already passed and happy we survived the first year!

  • We have a ridiculous number of friends and family.  We're doing it at home and if I'd really thought of the head count ahead of time I might have rethought that decision.  Hopefully the weather won't be too bad as I'm sure most of the guys will be happy to hang out in the front.

No real theme for me!  Just getting my house clean and a cake ordered will be difficult enough!

  • seriously?  that's how many I had at my wedding.   I can't imagine that many people at a 1st birthday - are you doing it at your house?
