Well, depending on who's throwing it, there are some neat figurines that Willow Tree makes (the wood-carved figures) or Precious Moments ones. We were going to get two for my hostesses (which were my MIL and mom).
My mom threw mine and I gave her a book called "Grandloving". You can find it at Barnes and Noble or Amazon. I also gave her a Yankee candle, mini nail files, and a frame with a grandmother poem in it.
I just had my shower yesterday and got my hostesses personalized door mats from Kirkland's. They were only $15 and I rolled them up and tied a pretty bow around each one. It turned out quite cute!

Did you order these online? I can't seem to find them, but like the idea.

My MIL threw my babyshower so i got her a outdoor plant that will come back every year. Something for her that will grow with the baby and will be a neat story to tell her when she get older.
I got my sisters each a basket filled with things they like. Sister 1 got special pasta, wine, and seasonings for a romantic dinner because she LOVES to cook. Sister 2 got BBW Sweet Pea stuff, the SOFTEST socks ever, and a nail file because she's a girlie girl. Just think of your hostesses and what they like!
