pregnancy massages?

i'm lurking over from second tri to get some opinions ladies. Smile

has anyone got one? was it worth it? i'm totally thinking about one since I have back problems to begin with.  I found a place here in san diego and its 75 minutes for $85. Does that seem high to you or is that about the going rate?

thank you for your imput.

Re: pregnancy massages?

  • Have had several. Love them. Seems very inexpensive to me, so go for it!  I've been paying about $200 for 90 minute massages.

  • I have my first one on Friday. From what I've been told it's worth it. I don't know what the average cost is though as I found out my Insurance will cover it. If I would have known that, I would have had one sooner but I'm taking advantage of it now. Like you I have back problems as it is so I'm definately looking forward to it.
  • thank you ladies. I'm defiantely going to be calling wonderful Tri-Care here in a few to see if they cover it.
  • I had one the weekend before last and it was HEAVEN! It was 50 minutes for $65.

  • If you have serious back issues, have your OB write a prescription for the massages.  Mine did and I can use my flex $ to cover the massages.  It's awesome.  And now, I go every 3rd week or so.
  • Yessssssss, so worth it!! I got one on our little "babymoon" over Labor Day weekend, and I loved it. I only did 30 minutes (for $50) but could have stayed on the table all day.

  • My only complaint: too short! Regardless, the amount of time I receive, I am never ready to get off of the table! Totally worth it! That price sounds really good to me. Enjoy!
  • Just curious on those who have insurance covering it....did your OB have to "prescribe" it?

    TIA!
