H and I haven't even talked about names yet, and I have no idea when we're going to, lol. I guess since we're not finding out the gender, I don't feel the urgency to choose a name yet.
When did you choose a name? (if you've chosen them yet).
(Disclaimer: I'm not worried. We'll come up with a name when we're ready, I was just curious how long other people waited, or didn't wait to pick names)
Re: when did you pick names?
We've had names picked out for a long time. I'm talking years
We might be changing the boy name though since I'm not a fan of the shortened version of it and I think most people would call him that.
We'll decide after the big u/s on Wednesday!
We chose ours at, like, ten weeks which I know is incredibly early. We just happened to be talking about it with family and we both came upon a name (first and middle) that we really liked.
We couldn't decide on a girl's name, AT ALL, so I guess that part was 'meant to be.'
Whenever is right for you... there are some people that don't decide until they're signing the birth certificate.

We didn't start seriously talking about names for DS until we found out we were having a boy. By the time I'd delivered, we'd narrowed it down to two or three names. DS finally had a name the day we checked out of the hospital
We've started talking about baby girl names, but nothing serious yet.
We had a boy name picked out way before ttc. We had some girl names we liked but nothing set in stone. Once we found out we were having a girl we looked online for ideas and came up with a few. We decided to go with one of our original 2 names though. So about 17 weeks is when we for sure knew what her name would be.

Before we got married. We talked about things like this.
But we refined them a bit once we found out I was pregnant.
Because we are also team green I want to have two names of each gender picked out. We think we have our boys names, but DH won't even discuss girls names because he is sure it's a boy. That may wait until right before we leave the hospital if it's a girl.
I've had a list of possibilities for a month or two now...but DH won't pick any until we know the genders...
We had names picked out before we got pg... but as soon as we got pg neither of us liked the girl name anymore.
So of course we're having a girl. We had been throwing ideas around since the beginning of 2nd tri but didn't think too much about it until we had the u/s. After they told us she was a girl I asked DH "what are we going to name her?" He said "Aubrie." And that was that.
Just last week we figured out how we wanted to spell it.
We just started the Great Name Debate of 2009 last night over chinese food.
Since we knew we were finding out the sex, we wanted to wait until we knew what we were having before deciding on a name. Why make it twice as hard? So last night, I mentioned something about names, and DH said, "So... okay. Which names do we like?" And off we went. Once we both got into it - it's a pretty fun thing to talk about!
before we got pregnant- and then we solidified them once we got pregnant.
We are also team green.
Dang, I am late on this then.
We talked about names before we got married, but *snort* there is NO WAY we would go with any of those now.

For DS, it was a few hours after he was born. Actually we had a name we were *pretty* sure about, but when we looked at him the first time, we both said, "nope, that's not right." We ended up going with another name that had been on our short list.
We haven't even talked about this one, though if its a girl we'll probably use the girl name we had chosen the first time around. Although...that could change too, I suppose!
You have lots of time. As our midwife told us at the hospital..."Just give me a name before you leave here, and I'll be happy."
Well we always agreed on a girl name, since I think we were engaged! But now that the pregnancy is a reality, DH has decided he prefers a different girl name. We can't think of a single male name, so... who knows what we'll choose if it's a boy. And apparently girl names are still debatable, which is totally cool with me.
DH doesn't want me to spend money on anything baby related, or even think of registering (he thinks 6 months is a really long time, whereas I'm ready to do it now!) so baby names are a good conversation for us!
We decided on names years before getting pregnant.
Even though I always wanted a boy, I never had boy names picked out. I just figured as long as my husband's name was something I liked, our son would be a junior, and his middle name would be my brother's name.
As for girl names, I always knew what I wanted to name my daughter, and once my grandmother passed away I knew I wanted to name my daughter after her.
My fiance liked the names I picked out (especially our son being a junior) so it was really easy actually.
