A place with pumpkins

I want to take DD to a place with lots of cute pumpkins to take her 1yr pix (we do all our own pix). We went to Cox Farms on Sunday and it's a nice place but all the pumpkins are after you exit and I think it's silly to pay $30 for DH and me (DD's bday is on Columbus Day this yr so they are charging a weekend rate that day) just to take pix after exiting!

I'm willing to pay but just not $30, any suggestions? Close to Ashburn is preferred. TIA!

Re: A place with pumpkins

  • Can you just go and park and stand next to the pumpkins at the exit?  Without going in?  I've never been there, so I don't know the set up.

Or buy your own pumpkins?  Or maybe they're expensive...?

Or see if a neighbor puts up some kind of cute Fall/Harvest decorations in their yard and ask them if you can stand in front of it.

Or go to a (free) park or garden, with one store-bought pumpkin in hand, and set up your own scene?  It might be cute to just have baby sit next to one big pumpkin, so you don't have to find a while spread.

    Just throwing ideas out...

  • Sofya, there is actually another farm right down Braddock from Cox. It's called Ticonderoga Farm, and admission is only $7.95 (I think!).

It was good running into you yesterday, BTW :)
