  • Honestly, I jiggle my belly fat and literally imagine it melting off once i get back on that cardio. I did that last night, and now I am excited to get to the gym and find some healthy meal plans for this week.

  • When I get discouraged, I just keep trying. I might fail or backslide (like recently), but I view each day as a clean slate.

  • I'm down another pound!  That's -3 total for me :)

    I remind myself that I did this before, and I can do it again.  The thing that I find most discouraging is when I feel like I'm trying so hard, but it takes me so much longer to lose weight than it does DH.

  • Please add 5 lbs to my name :( I obviously haven't been around for awhile. I was gone for 2 weeks to see family and then when I got home I had a friend stay with me for a week. Needless to say I ate whatever I wanted until I was beyond full and I didn't exercise. I am bummed about it but I kind of expected it and came up with a game plan before my trip (probably not the best idea since it gave me an excuse to pig out). So today my hubby and I started Atkins. I decided to go low-carb because I have a gluten intolerance (I never wanted to really say I did or change my eating habits) and diabetes runs in my family on both sides. I'm a little nervous for the first two weeks because they're the hardest but my husband is doing it with me and I know that will really help. I guess my post also goes along with the question: I get back to exercising and eating right by reminding myself of my original goals and I don't use my backslide as an excuse to not keep working on losing weight.
