I hate our condo so, so much :(

We,ve always had an ant problem. That's something I can't escape living in FL and having carpet. But now we have a spider problem!! WTF! We live on the second floor and I keep this place so clean. Ugh Now we have to stay with my in-laws for a night while they spray everything down. And I have to decide whether to stay with carpets and try to do a short sale so we can get rid of this dump and get into a house OR wait for the market to turn so we don't take a loss and in the meantime redo the floors. Suckity sucks. Any opinions?

    That sucks, I'm sorry.  If I could, I'd redo the floors and wait to sell.  It should add value and help your ant/spider problem.  I'd avoid a short sale if possible.  Our house is getting suffocatingly small now that C is here but the down market has eaten our equity, so we're jut going to toughh it out until the market turns around.

    I understand what you're going through, we're in FL too, in a townhouse, and I feel like we're on top of each other. To make matters worse my DH works 3 hrs away and since we cant sell with the market being so sh!tty, he stays in a small apt near work and commutes home on the weekends. 

    I would take the PP recommendation and stick it out...the new floors will add value to your house and you don't want a short sale on your credit.
