Is anyone else still sometimes sleeping on their stomach? I start off on my side and in the night, I wind up on my stomach, what is with that? I hope I am not hurting the baby?
Still on my stomach here, too. As long as you're comfortable, it's fine. From what I've heard, it won't always be comfortable so enjoy it while you can!
My body pillow helps to make sure that I'm not completely on my stomach. Although, if I do wind up on my stomach, I wake up because it isn't comfortable.
I still sleep on my stomach almost nightly. Doctor says our bodies will tell us when we need to flip. Also read that laying on my stomach can't hurt the baby- the pressure is equalized by the amniotic fluid. So as long as we're comfortable, baby is comfortable too.
I still sleep on my stomach from time to time - although it's starting to turn into a stomach/side position, with my leg up and knee bent. It's still comfortable for now, but I'm sure it won't always be! Your body will let you know your limitations, so don't worry!
I've been reading "Husband-coached Childbirth" (a Bradley method book), and just read a passage last night about that. The baby has all that nice amniotic fluid in there, so he/she is perfectly fine if you sleep on your stomach, but you may feel uncomfortable perched up like that. The only big no-no at this point (from several books I've read) is sleeping on your back because the uterus rests on a vessel or something, and that restricts blood flow/oxygen to baby. However, one of my books said not to stress if you wake up on your back - just correct yourself and try not to do it again.
I'm still on my stomach and plan on sleeping like this until I have no choice!! My doctor said it was fine...."if your happy baby is happy" that's what he told me.
my Dr told me "if the baby is not comfortable, you will know" meaning that if the baby isn't comfortable then i won't be comfortable in that position either. and back sleeping is fine! they tell you to be careful with it because later on it increases swelling in your feet. if you are propped up its fine though. at least thats what he told me.
I could still sleep on my stomach, but I have been sleeping on my sides because when I lay on my stomach it pushes on my bladder and makes me feel like I have to pee really bad.
You aren't hurting the baby by sleeping on your stomach. There is tons of padding to make sure you don't squish LO.

Thanks Ladies, I thought I was the only one. LOL But really how could I be? I am happy that you all know where I am coming from. I like many of you use pillows but I still end up on my stomach.
Re: Still sleeping on my stomach
I think as long as you're comfy..it's okay.

This. I have been trying to put pillows behind me so that I won't roll into my back, but alas, it's not working.

I'm a stomach sleeper too. And my mom said she slept on her stomach throughout both her pregnancies.
