"Our" bartender died this weekend...

Yes...DH and I have a bartender....he's "our" bartender because he is the one who bought us shots alllllll the time when we were first dating because he knew how shy DH can be and figured it would help with the shy-ness.  He came to our wedding. I "blame" him for our marriage.  He's seriously one of the sweetest guys anyone could know (if you got to know him...he also was a male slut and didn't let girls get to know him)...but also he is married to his bar and lived and breathed the bar life, which obviously wasn't good for his diabetes.

Apparently his roommate found him in his shower dead.....complications of diabetes is what they are saying initially but they need to wait for the official autopsy.

I'm just super bummed....The few times a year we'd go out, we'd ALWAYS go to Howie's bar (The Fedora for the O-town girls) and hang with him.  (and the rest of the bartenders there that we know pretty well).

He was in his 30's......maybe close to 40.....either way TOOOO young to die.

    I'm sorry.   That is way too young to die.  I wonder if he had a stroke, which is not uncommon for those with diabetes.   He sounds like he was a pretty special guy.
