Dh has an awards dinner in the beginning of october. MIL is getting married at the end of october. I am looking for a nice dress to wear to both occasions since Im scheduled for the beginning of November for my c section. I have looked high and low on the internet (im on modified bed rest adn cant go shopping) and havent been able to find anything that is reasonably priced. I really dont want to spend more than 70$ . Anyone have any suggestions as to where I expand my search? I hate to pay a fortune for a dress I will only wear 2 times. Thanks a bunch!
Re: need help finding a dress...
I had a wedding to go to last week and found lots of dresses, too, on ebay that were way more than what I'd want to spend originally, but were priced right on there - designers, too. I think the ones on Motherhood.com look cheap and I've seen a few in person and they kinda really do (sorry, just sayin...), so maybe find some better brands on ebay.
I know you can't really go out shopping, but I found a prom gown at Marshall's that was on clearance for $15, it isn't maternity, but it was long and empire waist, and it totally worked. I was a 2 pre-pregnancy, so I got it 2 sizes up. There were a TON of empire waist gowns, maybe it was a popular style this year, so that could be an option for you, maybe,
I wish you the best of luck finding one! I know I always like to look my best at hubby's work functions (pressure, pressure, right!?).
