If so, how many days? I remember with DS, I went three days once without being able to get a shower because he would scream every time I put him down. I had to call my Mom to come over and hold him so I could shower (DH was out of town). Now I'm going through the same thing with DD, I can't shower unless someone is here to hold her so I can shower or else she'll scream.
Re: When you had a newborn, did you ever go without a shower?
3 days sounds about right, but the newborn stage is all a blur. I was so sleep deprived. I don't really remember much of it. That's probably a good thing.

There are still days that I go two days without a shower! LOL.
(really, I'm not nasty...just exhausted!)
no, I managed to get one in, even if it was around 4pm!
I used to put DS down and kind of sit really close to him, cuddle him, kiss him (but not pick him up)...then stand back up and move away. if he fussed, I repeated this a few times. very quickly he was fine with being put down while I showered, etc. during the day.
but i certainly remembered being freaking exhausted!
No, I took a shower every day. I would put her in the bouncy seat in the bathroom. If she cried, she cried. If she was happy in the seat I would take a good shower and maybe even shave. If she was sad, I cut it short. It really is OK if they (babies) cry for a couple of minutes. It is not OK for us to feel like crap all day without a shower and feeling lie a person.
I actually do go a day here and there now without a shower. If DD is being difficult and we have to get out of the house, I will just wash, make-up, pony-tail and go. I think "getting ready" with a toddler is way more difficult than with a newborn.
I don't shower every day, I never have. Especially if you spend most of your day indoors without a whole lot of physical activity...just how dirty can you get?
3 days without a shower in the newborn phase sounds completely normal to me.
