1) I don't get how the baby can be head down during late pregnancy and blood not rush to his head? I know this sounds incredibly dumb but it's just one of those things I've always wondered. Shoot, if I were a baby in the womb, I'd want to be breeched!
2) This one is actually a question but equally as dumb: Tomorrow morning I have my lovely Strep B test. Will taking a shower right before the test affect the results?
I'm actually looking forward to tomorrow's appointment so that I can tell my doctor about this stupid bump (cyst, whatever it is) that's growing inside my hoo-ha. Unfortunetly, it seems to be growing and is now getting irritated everytime I wipe.
Re: Two super stupid (but honest) questions...
I've asked DH this repeatedly! He just rolls his eyes. I don't get it either.
1) The baby is floating in amniotic fluid. It's like being in a pool - your blood doesn't rush to your head when you're upside down in a pool right? Same kind of thing
2) I don't think so
Take a shower. It won't affect the results of your test. It's there or it isn't, can't wipe it away.
The little bump you have seems to be a common pregnancy thing. Like a tiny skin tag that sort of hurts or is bothersome? Some people have said they tend to go away after the birth of LO. I have one
but it seems to have gotten better in the last couple of weeks.
G/L!
1) When you hang upside down, the blood rushes to your head b/c of gravity. When they're surrounded by amniotic fluid, I would imagine they wouldn't experience much, if any, gravity. More like they're floating in a vacuum, like the astronauts.
2) Showering shouldn't affect anything, unless you scrub your vaginal walls...
