DD LOVED her swing from day one. We put her in it when we have dinner and she sometimes naps in it. She gets so excited when we strap her in. I don't know what we'll do when she outgrows it!
I think most babies LOVE them. Ds played/slept in his a lot as a newborn and then when he became more active (2-3 months) he still took naps in it and used it to chill. He now (at 6 months) still will go into it about one time a day to either nap or relax or just give my aunt (who watches him) a free moment. I would HIGHLY recommend one.

Definately useful! LO liked the bouncy seat just as well as long as I sat there and bounced her....not very practical! She would ONLY nap in the swing til she turned 3 months. I would invest!!

My DS will nap in his swing and it will occupy him for a bit of time so I can get a few things done around the house. He watches the mobile and usually falls asleep in it. We got ours free from a friend and but would not have otherwise spend the $$$ on it. We also have a boppy vibrating seat and another vibrating seat and they don't keep DS occupied or asleep for nearly as long.
