Target Up and Up diapers like Cruisers?

I'm liking Target's new line of stuff and would like to save money on diapers as well.

We currently buy Cruisers from Sam's but if we bought Target diapers, we'd save $0.10 a diaper, and that adds up.

Are they similar?  I've tried generic diapers before and they were horrid.  Have they gotten any better?

  • I just bought some recently, and I am happy. They have even worked overnight for K.

They revamped them when they changed to the Up & Up name-- before that, they were atrocious.

  • I have always used the target diapers for both my kids.  I like them.  Never had any problems.  I sometimes use huggies and found them to be fairly similar.  They are not as soft on the outside, but I don't really care about that.

I don't think this is true.  I have used them for 3 years.  The new ones are the same diaper, just with a different print on it.  I think some diapers work better for different body shapes, so what works well for a plump baby might not work so well for a skinny one.  Both my kids pretty skinny.

  • I tried them.  They were hard and bulky, I thought.  No leaks though.  We now use Luvs w/M.  tHEy are much softer and cheaper than pampers.

I got that from someone who works for Target and read it in a work memo. She said that the diapers were the only item that was revamped when they changed to the Up & Up name. They had a lot of complaints about the prior version.

  • I've been trying out storebrand diapers on DD (I was a Pampers stickler with DS - he's big and nothing else worked) and I like the Target ones - the point where I bought a whole box.  I should have tried them earlier.

     Walmart ones - horrible though.

  • DS is in cloth 90% of the time, but when we travel overnight I use disposable. I have bought the Up and Up brand the last 2 trips we have taken, and they work just fine. They aren't as stiff and pastic-y feeling as the old Target generic. They seem to me to run small though.

DD is also in cloth most of the time, but we buy Up and Up as our backups. I really like them. They actually seem bigger than Pampers to me. DD is in a 4, and the Up and Ups are much longer than Pampers.

  • My kids are also in cloth, but we've used the Up and Ups for travel and outings.  They are a bit longer than Huggies, which we also use, and work fine.  But I think all diapers work fine--I've never had an issue with any brand EXCEPT Pampers because I can't deal with the noxious baby powder smell of the Pampers.
  • I've been using them on Logan for about the last two months.  I LOVE them.  They are much better than they used to be and the polka dots are too cute!  I think they run large.  She wears a 4 in up&up and a 5 in pampers.  When I use up the 4 cases of pampers I have for Miles, I will be switching to up&up.

You should definitely give them a try, you may be surprised!

I like Luvs, too.  They may be a little thinner.  I like them both about the same... maybe the target ones a little more.  Either way, they get pee'd and poo'd in and then you through them away.  I'm all about cheap diapers!  ;)
