  • The length.  Obviously, 2Ts are longer.
  • 2T seems to be longer and less wide.

  • I think every store is different but 2T always seems larger and/or longer than 24months.

At babyGap, 2T is definitely bigger than 24 months. They are also in different sections, so the 2T stuff is the smallest of the toddler line and the 24 months is the largest of the baby line.

eta: I think most are longer b/cat this age, the LO's are not really getting wider, just longer. So I guess it makes sense.

  • Like PP stated they are longer and not as wide.  DS fits 24 months but 2ts wont even button with his big ol belly!

  • I always thought with Carters for example 24 months meant 18-24 months but 2T means when they actually turn 2 and beyond.

  • 2T is always longer than 24 months.  24 months size can vary across brands.  Some brands don't have much of a size difference between 18 months and 24 months size (Circo brand is .5 inch difference, all the extra length is in size 2T).  Some brands leave extra room for diapers in 24 months (more wide) that isn't there in 2T (Carters and Circo do this).

It just really varies!  You have to check each brand to see what the length measurement is.
