Non-stop m/s

This is getting old. I literally feel sick 24/7. I was SO not like this with dd. What is your best remedy? Anyone actually try the sea bands??

?Thank goodness for peligrino, but I still feel queasy.??

Re: Non-stop m/s

  • Honestly nothing worked for me with ds. Not even meds. I did manage to get down ramen noodles, and dr pepper for a few weeks. I took a 1/2 lemon and smelled it; sometimes that helped. Yesterday I had a pelligrino limonade and I thought that will be awesome if my ms comes full force. The bands never helped me but I know they helped some people. Worth the try. Gl

  • I use the bands, they seem to help a little bit.  I've also been sucking on ice pops, which as weird as it sounds helps a lot.  Also, I've been eating in the night.  This has made a huge difference for me.  I eat the last time I get up to pee (about 2-3 hours before I get up for good, just a few bites), and then when I get up I munch on something and wait 10-15 minutes before getting out of bed.  This has helped my whole day go better.  A friend with m/s actually recommended that, and it really has made a difference.  I still experience the nausea, but it isn't as bad and I haven't actually been throwing up since I started doing that...
  • Eating a snack before bed and taking Doxylamine has helped me a lot. It is worse for me this time around too!

  • Thanks ladies. I did eat a banana in bed this morning and I swear it kept me from actually throwing up once I got up. I am going to try all the rest of your ideas. I am desperate!?
  • Good luck!  It's miserable, but it seems once you figure out what works and what doesn't you can definitely feel a little better...  If it gets to the point where you aren't keeping anything down, though, I would give your dr a call.

  • I am way worse this time also.  I have to take zofran this time around since I could not even keep water down.

Last time I drank a lot of lemon propel, took b-6 and ate a lot of pretzels.  My friends doc recommended lemon candy and salty chips.  It helped.

  • I was nauseated 24/7 until today.  I took a 1/2 a Unisom and 25 mg of Vit B6 before bed and then this morning.  Unisom is a sleeping pill, so I am going to try and not take one tomorrow morning because I was so sleepy.  But no morning sickness today.
