Removing Swaddle Question

So after last night, I decided I would remove the swaddle from my 3 1/2 month old son. He just seems frustrated by it. But then tonight, after putting him in his pj's. I laid him in the crib and when I came back he was on his belly with one foot caught in between the crib slates.

Has anyone else encountered this? I'm nervous not to swaddle him now but even more nervous he will get his foot caught again, worse, in the middle of the night.

Have you considered having him wear those sleepsack pajamas.

Ditto the sleep sack - we went with that after the swaddle too.

Do you have a bumper? You could get one of the breathable ones.

BRU carries the mesh breathable bumpers--that's what we used in addition to the sleep sacks with DD1. We're still swaddling DD2 at almost 6 months!

I LOVE baby sleep sacks! My 9 week newborn wears a Merino Kids sleep sack that I was given at my baby shower (my sister bought it on www.babysleepbags.com). The bag is super fine and snuggly and will take him all the way through to 2 years, at which time I?ll upgrade to the larger size. By having him in a bag I don?t need to worry about SIDS related problems that arise from the excessive layering of blankets in his crib. Good luck
