Being induced AND going natural . . .

For those of you who are planning on going natural but are concerned about having to get induced . . .

I just wanted to share a positive story I heard. I met a woman who was induced but didn't have any other meds after the initial pitocin.  She said she applied the expansion breathing she learned in Hypnobabies and actually fell asleep during the contractions!

I know these stories are rare, but just wanted to let you know it is possible to avoid pain meds even on pitocin.

    Definitely a good story to hear!  I'm being induced on Thursday and I'm planning on going natural.  Very reassuring.

    I have a friend who went in the night before to get Cytotec to ripen her cervix.  She went into labor without having to have Pitocin and was able to go natural!

    Thank you!  I wasn't really planning on going natural, but I was worrying about the induction ending in a c-section, so it's always nice to hear about people who don't have that outcome.
