I just saw a Maclaren Techno XT stroller at TJMaxx for $149. They are currently going for $299 on Amazon. Sounds like a great deal, but Baby Bargains doesn't say much about this model. Has anyone had experience with Maclaren strollers??
I have a Maclaren Quest Sport and I really like it. The best thing about it is that when I walk my feet don't hit the bak of the stroller. I'm a normal height and for some reason that happened with a lot of strollers I tested out. It was infuriating to have to be careful not to take too long a step. It's lightweight, folds up easily, and has held up pretty good. The basket on the bottom isn't huge, but I don't really care about that.
That's a great deal. I have a Mac. Volo - lower end model, and it's great. Very light and convenient for quick trips. I think the Quest reclines (Volo does not). That's the only thing that isn't great about the Volo, if we are going to be out very long we take the big stroller so we can recline it if he falls asleep.
The Techno XLR was my #1 choice for a stroller. But the handles are really high and felt uncomfortable even on the lowest setting. So I ended up getting the Peg Perego Aria.
I also registered for the Quest because it had the most features while still being a light umbrella stroller. I also talked to a few moms who I saw pushing it while out and about. Oh yeah, I'm not afraid to stop people on the street and ask about their baby gear!
Re: Maclaren Strollers
My Mom got me the Quest Mod at TjMaxx too...They're supposedly the Cadillac of strollers according to my Mom.
