Diaper Size Q

Im going a baby shower today and dh is going to a diaper party in the same house.  I want to know what size diapers i should get, im assuming everyone will buy swaddlers, so im thinking maybe size 1?

    Yes, newborn only go up to 10 lbs so I'd buy size 1.  My LO was 8 lbs and wore newborn only for 3 weeks, and chances are people will buy her a lot of newborn (plus you get them at the hospital).

    Size 1 and up will be good.  I didn't get anything above a 2, so maybe try one of the upper sizes.

    Honestly, I'd get like 3's.  It might be nice to have some larger sizes around.

    Did they tell you want brand they intend to use? People bought us diapers that were not the brand we intended or do use so they sit in the closet. Whatever you buy, I'd give them the gift receipt also.

    I would include the receipt too, but I enjoyed having different brands to try out.  I'm a fan of Luvs now because of it.

    Yeah for us, we only use 7th gen once we got home from the hospital. But we have Huggies, Pampers etc. We are waiting until our friend has a baby in a few months and we'll re-gift them to him. hee hee.

    I would get newborns.  We needed a lot and didn't get any.  We got a ton of 1s.  Just my suggestion :).  My baby is still not in 1s and probably won't be for a few more weeks, so we have had to buy a ton of NBs.  The NB swaddlers are wonderful though - my personal fave :)

    Ditto this.  I think the brand you use has a lot to do with how they fit your LO.

    The hospital gave me enough for DS (2 packs of 40).  He was only in newborn's for a little over a week (3 of those days were spent IN the hospital).  Some babies go straight to 1's and are never in newborns.
