Potomac vs Mary Washington

I've never been on the DC Babies board before so hello everyone!

I am moving from Springfield to Stafford next month and am trying to do some research on local hospitals.

 Has anyone ever delivered or known anyone who delivered at Potomac or Mary Washington?  If so, what kind of feedback do you have?

They are both about the same distance away from where we'll be living but I don't know too much about either.

    I delivered at Mary Washington and had a good experience.  There are private rooms with a pull-out bed for your DH (or whoever is staying with you).

    Did you know that there is also a new Stafford hospital?  They've actually been advertising their new maternity ward on the radio recently.  It would probably be the closest place to you:

    I was hospitalized overnight around 32 weeks at Mary Wash and delivered there was well.   Everyone was really great, with the exception of one overnight nurse I had after delivery.   I would have no concerns delivering there again.

     I've also heard really great things about the Stafford Hospital.  I only know of people that have been there for issues other than pregnancy but everyone raved about it.  I think it would definitely be worth taking a tour there.

    You may want to check to see where your doctor delivers.  Some only deliver at one or the other although I know of a few that will deliver at both.

    I delivered both of my kids at MWH. I had a great experience there. My DH and I took a class at Potomac before our first child was born and we definitely preferred MH because is has all private rooms and a much more personal feel to it. The new hospital in Stafford is managed by the same company that manages MW and I've only heard great things about it so far.

    My sister delivered both DCs at MW, and she was pleased with both experiences.

    I delivered at Potomac and had a great experience.  I had a private room with a courtyard. 

    Married to J since 5/05, Mommy to T (10/08), L (08/10) and C (02/13) who was born at home.
