Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

What TV shows did you stop watching after loss?

I just to be addicted to all The Baby Story, Bringing Home Baby, Deliver Me shows... I don't watch them much anymore. Although at times I do - but usually only for a couple moments. It is as if I don't eat the whole cookie- just take a nibble...  I also stopped watching The Locator. That show has always made me cry... Once I start crying  - even if for another reason, it always triggers my feeling about Haleigh and turns into a tearfest.

What about you?

Re: What TV shows did you stop watching after loss?

  • I still watch deliver me because they tend to have women with different pregnancy issues and I find it interesting.  I stopped watching all the others.  The worst is "I didn't know I was pregnant".  I made the mistake of watching that while I was home after D&E and got sooo angry.

  • Prior to BFP and during pregnancy, I loved to watch A Baby Story and Bringing Home Baby.  Not so much anymore.  Haven't seen an episode of either in weeks.

  • I stopped watching all of them birth day, deliver me , a baby story it is just to hard.
  • I had been watching baby story and brining home baby too.  I haven't watched them since.
  • I watched all these shows too, and stopped the day I found out bad news.  I wont be watching them for a long while.

  • I stopped watching ALL baby shows on TLC and Discovery Health.  I see enough pregnant women and babies throughout the day.  There is no need to subject myself to those tearjerking moments.

The day after my missed m/c was discovered, DH and I went out to eat and I saw nothing but babies and bellies...like I said, there's no need to watch the TV for that.

Oh, and I can just feel my DH looking at me when these babies and bellies pass my line of view.  I guess he doesn't know if that will trigger a "tearfest" for me.

    Good luck!!!
