3rd Trimester

35 weeks - could I be losing my mucus plug?

So this morning I had like a brownish chunky discharge, kinda like the last days of my former AF. Then a little while ago I wipe and it looks like clear jelly chunks.

Is this my mucus plug already? And if it is does it give me any ETA on LO's arrival?

Re: 35 weeks - could I be losing my mucus plug?

  • Yes it could be your mucus plug and no it doesn't say anything about when LO will arrive.

I lost mine 8 days before DS was born, but it is not a good indicator of labor from what I've seen....it can also regenerate........

  • yes ma'am that sounds like your mucous plug! I had my son 4 or 5 days after mine fell out. But everyone's different!
  • I would call your dr if youre worried, they can check your cervix and give you the swab test to see if its likely you will deliver within the next two weeks, since you are premature

  • As others said, not at all an indicator since they can regenerate. But you should let your doc know.
