I do love them though -- they both do a lot of MAC. Sometimes I watch their really old videos though so it's like it's new!
Did I tell you I ended up ordering Habanera? I had to get some stuff from drugstore.com and had $20 off beauty.com [you can shop them together] so I got that too.

E, have you watched lollipop26? If not, I think you would like her. (Sweetie, I already know your answer to this...hence the reason I directed towards Eclaires). Also, Sweetie directed me to pixiwoo, who I really like, too.
I am not into Elle and I saw all of tiffany's old stuff last year.
I haven't ordered it. I am going back and forth on what I want/need. let me know how you like habanera. I loved it when I swatched the purple side in the store.

Yeah, Elle can REALLY bug me, but I like some of her looks.
I need to check out pixiwoo and lollipop24 - I've watched them some, but never really explored their homepages the way I have with tiffanyd and allthatglitters21.
Every time I watch Elle, Jeff makes fun of her. It's hilarious.
And I have to giggle that it's always the 3 of us on this board talking makeup! We need to have a makeup whore check in - as in, what did you buy this week? And then I'll be embarrassed by how much I spend, but at least I wouldn't be alone.
lollipop26 she is good. I've seen all of hers and I think most of the pixiewoo sisters. I really like nik. my h always says that she is hot, but needs to fix her chin. have you ever seen thecurrentcustom. omg, she is not all there. her perfume video had us in stitches.

I need to check those out - Jeff and I enjoy the comic relief, plus I get makeup tips! Elle says gurus, like Ga-roo, instead of gew-ru. It's hysterical. Now we use "ga-roo" a lot.
So I took the BB foundation back b/c the MUFE matched better. So far I'm still loving the MUFE.
Here is a good one. I spent over $300 in Mac stuff the other week and was so embarrassed I hid the receipts from my h (there is no way he would understand). Anyway, I decided I wanted to take something back and now I can't remember where I hid the receipts.
LOL @ sex-sex-sex dress. And doooooooooo it. I wear it a lot and love it. It's my new fave look.

From tiffanyd - she used a coastal scents palette but I subbed in MAC colors I had since I don't have that palette.

Oh and the colors I used - in the order she uses them for things:
-dazzlelight for the first champagne-y color
-vanilla for the lighter color
-soba for the crease color
-greensmoke for the darker color
-naked lunch for blending out
-gesso for highlight

So, Sweetie and I have been talking about this lately..do you have the paintpot in blackground? it is so awesome underneath shadows...you have to check it out. You can even put it under lighter colors and it looks so cool. It looks great underneath satin taupe and smoke & diamonds, too. I highly recommend.
Also, Sweetie and I are loving Patina lately. Do you have?
I agree on Elle's parents. Her room at her parents looks really nice, and she has a lot of stuff I couldn't afford at 21. Her sister does some high end makeup but also does drugstore makeup a lot too, so I wonder sometimes how much money Elle "makes" since she talks about her business.
I think Elle's newer videos are better - some of her older ones are really slow at the beginning or something.
I'm always looking for new videos to watch, so I'll check those out.
I don't! But I often use blacktrack fluidline or a nyx black eye pencil under things so I'll try one of those first and see if I need it since I love satin taupe and smoke&diamonds. I am SO glad I bought smoke & diamonds.
I have Patina on my "to buy" list, b/c I think pin rec'd it to me. To use with Bronze I think. WDY wear it with?
I wear it with pandamonium in the crease (a lot last week). it's an easy every day fast look.
Do either of you have woodwinked? It's one of my faves, and I wear it a lot with Trax in the crease and nylon as a highlighter - patina reminds me of woodwinked.

E, try the black paintpot (in blackground) as a primer and put the other color over it....rather than just a thin line (like with an eyeliner). It is amazing the difference.

I used my patina with Jest bc i wanted something simple and i like pinky and brown together. i think i put patina in the crease and jest on the inner corner. Then shroom as a highlight on the brow and i think i used a little carbon to smoke it out a little.
I also used Patina all over the lid with blackground pp underneath and it looked really cool. Swatch the blackground on your hand and put some shadows over it (in the store)..you will see what I mean. It's esp great if you love smokey eyes or want to make your colors pop more.

I've seen blacktrack used as a base for smokey eyes - I had never thought to use a fluidline that way - I guess they are similar in makeup to the paint pot. But now I think I def need a blackground paint pot - I am a huge fan of the paint pots!

sweetie - are you still reading this? have you gone to get color matched for the NARS foundation? I really want it now. I'm 99% sure I would need Mont Blanc. I want to try the Sheer Matte.
I love my mont blanc. I need to get color matched for nars. this is going to bug me. I wish products came in 1/3 sizes and 1/3 the price. I don't need so much of anything. I would gladly repurchase the stuff I run out of.
I am so wearing blackground tomorrow. I can't wait. I am going to put sable over it to see if I can replicate that look.

I bought Nars Sheer Glow foundation in Santa Fe yesterday (in store). I think I am actually more the medium1 tone (Punjab), but the Santa Fe takes the pinky tone out of my face.
Anyway, I really like it so far. It is really light. I have a sample of the matte but I like the glowey look better.
I agree that they should sell smaller sizes. I never run out of anything b/c I buy so much different stuff.
Thanks for the review, Jen! I want to try both but my skin has been oily recently, so I thought trying sheer matte first made sense. I might have to buy both during Sephora F&F in November [hope they have it again!].
I have been buying so much NARS lately and I'm really loving it.
I don't think the Sheer Glow is actually that glow-ey. If you have a Nordstrom near you, get a sample of both and see which you prefer. That is what I did and then went back and bought the Glow. I actually haven't even tried the matte one yet bc I liked the Glow so much and figured matte would look more makeup-ey.

we have debated this. I have many mac brushes and even doubles of my most used ones. I wanted to check them out, but so far I am going to pass on them.
my nordstrom does not carry nars. I don't get it.
That is crazy, sweetie! They must be NARS biased. I think I am going to pass on sigma for now, too since I am not sure I need them.
Jen - I will definitely get a sample of both, b/c I definitely prefer a glow over matte, but my skin has just been shiny and gross recently. Although I'm guessing if I was using a shine-reducing/matte powder it might not be an issue...
I don't have a Nordie's anymore, which sucks, but we're going to be in Indy in 2 weeks for my SIL's wedding, so I will have to make a run to my place of worship there [the mall that has Saks and Nordies, as well as Sephora and a stand alone MAC] and get some samples.
What mascaras do y'all use, btw? I just tried the MUFE mascara but I'm not sure I love it - I may exchange for YSL or that freaky Givenchy brush one.
Pretty sure it's online only - but I do think you can pick and choose. Although I think they make more sense to buy in the set [cheaper]. It's dumb that I want them - I have a full set of MAC brushes, lol.
This is prob nuts, but I am currently using Loreal Voluminous. It is the only drugstore makeup I use. I have tried soo many upscale brand mascaras and don't like most of them. Voluminous works just as well or better than most. I loved my YSL, but it dried out fast and is so much $$. I also never loved Dior Show.
They should! It makes me so mad I don't have one anymore [a free standing] b/c I could do back2MAC and get lipgloss, e/s or lipstick. It sucks now. I need to make Jeff de-pott my newest MAC e/s so I can trade stuff in when I go.
Jen - I've been using LashBlast Luxe and L'oreal Telescopic before I decided to try MUFE. I have a love/hate relationship w/ mascara b/c I'll like a certain kind for awhile and then try different ones. I think I want to try YSL next.

I make my h do all the dirty work too. I had him cut open the UD primer out of sheer curiosity. then we argued over who would scoop it all out. I don't know why he was so into it. but I did it and he laughed at how insane the whole thing was.

I saw that pixiwoo has her lipsticks scooped out and in like a pillbox. I don't think I'm brave enough to try that to be able to turn in all my lipsticks, but I am tempted. I just think it would end up being a mess.

Yep, me too. I took a quart bag full of lipgoss to Vegas. It was ridiculous, but I like to be prepared.
I don't use lipstick as much, so it'd be nice to trade in the 50 lipsticks I have, but it really does look disgusting.
