Did/will any of you do a belly cast?

If you've done one with previous PGs, would you recommend it? Why or why not?

If you DID do it, where do you keep the cast now?

It's something I'm thinking about doing...not for awhile obviously....but I wanted to know the pros and cons of it if we decide to go for it.

this is my first pg, so I obviously haven't gotten one before, but I know I won't be getting one. Mainly I don't like the idea of, not bad, just not my thing, and I have zero room in my house for that. lol

exactly. Where would I put that? Display it somewhere? Seems like a waste of space to me. I'll paint my belly and take a picture instead.

I kind of want to do this but I am already overweight so it would make for a HUGE belly cast and well I think that might just be embarrassing...

My SIL did this - it turned out pretty cool, very modern and painted...not really my style but it suits her. They actually have it hanging in their living room like a piece of art, again not my thing but it is defintely a conversation piece!

It sounds like a neat idea/keepsake but honestly I would have NO idea on where to put it. It would just collect dust in the attic.

It's not my style, but I know a woman who did this with her last pregnancy. She has it placed on a a dresser in her baby's nursery. I had never seen it before and I was looking in the nursery with my mom and I said "WTF is that???"

I'm totally getting one. Its unique and if later on in life it ends up in my baby's "memories" trunk for s/he to look at it and go "gross" or think it is awesome that this is what s/he looked like when inside me, or maybe when she is getting married, or when s/he is having kids- I think it would be worth it. ... i think im ranting now. whoops.

My friend has a TINY house and she did one. It hung on the closet in the baby's room. But once the kid gets older, I'm not sure where exactly it will go as there is really no other place in their house to put it .. .. ..

I've never gotten one. I think they're neat but I just don't know where you would put something like that.
