We settled out of court!!

Good Lord, I'm happy....  We now have a 3 year plan, and after 2 years, it gets DSD down to Texas (from North Dakota)

 Our situation is a little unique, as DH wasn't involved (or, even knew he had a daughter) up until 2 1/2 years ago-- and up until now we've been establishing paternity, and having DH meet his daughter, and begin a relationship with her...

Oh, man... I'm so relieved.... otherwise, court is in Colorado, and that would be 2 tickets, a hotel room, getting someone to watch DS overnight, and hours of lawyer fees....

Whew  ;)

    What a relief! I can imagine you are pretty tickled right now, I am thrilled for you! Enjoy building this new relationship, I'm sure it will have some tough spots, but will be very much worth it!

    Yep, it's very good news.  I'm mainly a lurker on this board.  DSD is just over 5 years old.

    DH didn't know of BM's pregnancy or that he had a daughter until 2 1/2 years ago.  It's been a VERY long road (after we got over the SHOCK!) but we're on a good path-

    I've met DSD twice over these past 2 1/2 years, and DH goes up every 2 months. :)
