Per the advice of some people here I did reschedule my 34 week appointment and I will attend it.
I was being short sighted and just thinking of the time wasted sitting there for nothing, but you are right, there are things like Pre-E that I am not qualified to monitor for and shouldn't mess around with at this point in the game.
On a crappy note the other dr I mentioned is not taking patients until December, so I am kind of locked in with my deadbeat dr until the end now.
I guess I'm going to call and talk to the practice manager about my concerns and what I'm not happy about because there has to be someway to make the next 8-10 weeks tolerable for all of us involved.
Thanks to those of you that actually had a valid point made with tact. I did need that.
Re: so we can all have closure on my appt skipping, and move on
Whoa...
You're going to be pregnant for the next 8-10 weeks? And you're almost 34 weeks?
I feel bad for your DH.
oh Pearl, just move on already. Seriously. You are trying so hard. and uh yeah, in case no one told you, you see your OB after you have the baby as well.
and I'm only 32 weeks now, so yes, I could feasibly be pregnant for another 10 weeks.
Don't feel sorry for my husband, I don't feel sorry for yours.
I'm sorry your office sucks.
You'll switch after the pregnancy, right?
I switched before I got pregnant because my old practice had terrible nurses. I loved my doctor, but the nurses were the deal-breaker. I have never regretted it, even for yearly stuff.
Yeah, after I have him and have my post partum check up I am out of there.
I only stuck with them because they delivered my son and it was such a different place just 2 years ago. I'm really sad that they changed and not for the better, but this new place looks amazing. I only wish I would have gone with my gut and called sooner so I could have been a patient of theirs while pregnant.

Try posting on your local board- that is how I found my doctor (I switched at 13 weeks. I love, love, love him.
I'm glad that you are re-thinking your decision.
My guess is that she had just cancelled the appt, not actually skipped it.
I did the same thing. I posted on my local board to find my new OB when I switched at 16 weeks and he is FABULOUS.
I'm assuming she plans on staying with this one until her 6 week checkup after delivery...
