Christ the Redeemer is on the North side of Waldon Road between Joslyn and Baldwin Roads.
What?s a Clothes Swap? We bring clean, at least play clothes quality children?s clothes (from preemie to size 16), women?s, men?s, and/or maternity/nursing clothes that are sorted into sizes to Christ the Redeemer between the hours of 10am and 7pm on October 1. We sort the clothes that we have brought onto the corresponding ?size? tables, and (here?s the fun part) TAKE WHAT WE NEED! (please, no resalers) There are no strings attached. It?s free. It?s everyday families in our community helping each other.
Any clothes you have that are in good shape are welcome?shirts, pants, dresses, coats, pajamas, matched socks with no holes, whatever you have that you?d like to share. Basically, we ask that you bring clothes which you are willing to put on yourself or your children to go out in public.
We?re looking forward to seeing you there?and bring a friend or two! It?s like shopping at a garage sale for free?and you get rid of ?stuff? (clothes, shoes, baby items--please no formula) from around your house, to boot. BUT, you don?t have to wait two weeks for the truck to pick it up! Typically a few hundred families participate, so there tends to be a wide selection of good quality clothes from which to choose. We hope you can come!

Please feel free to copy and past this and pass it on to friends, family, coworkers, clients...anybody you think would benefit from participating in the swap...and in this economical climate, that's pretty much everybody! Just so you know, we get really nice clothes for our kids and ourselves...my kids typically wear Osh Kosh, Gap Kids, Children's Place, Carters...it's not all playclothes and rags! And we get the bulk of our kids' clothes from the swap.
