Did anyone use a daybed in their nursery instead of a glider? I was pondering a daybed because I could not only nurse in it but sleep in it as well if need be.
How comfortable is nursing in a bed versus a chair?
The gliding/rocking motion is for the baby, it soothes them. We got an upholstered rocking recliner for that reason, it rocks for the baby but when all the way out someone could definitely sleep in it really comfortably. Best of both worlds.
If I wasn't getting a rocker/glider I personally wouldn't get a daybed, I'd just take a few steps out to the couch if I needed to sleep with her.
I'm leaving a bed in the baby's room (we won't have a guest room any longer) so that there is another place to sleep besides the couch and may either put a rocker in there or out in the living room (more likely).
