3rd Trimester

When it rains, it pours....

Two weeks before babe is expected to arrive and I feel like I can't catch a break...which is leading to tearing up all the time.  My car is due for inspection at the end of this month and the check engine light pops on, my cell phone breaks and I had to order a new one and am still waiting for it (went to the store and the salesman was less than helpful and told me to do it online), doctor pulled me out of work as of today and I'm not prepared, FOUND A FLEA (at least, I think it was a flea) on my dog this morning!  Gross and frustrating.  I already picked up some meds for her but I know if there was one more are lurking.  AHHHHH!

And DH choses now to be an arsehat and back off of helping with things around the house.  I still have a half renovated bathroom that needs to be sanded and painted but apparently, after 5 months, it's not the priority.

If the babe (and my blood pressure) can hold off at least a week so I can take care of things I'd be forever grateful.

Hope everyone is having a better week than I am!

  • That SUCKS!

On the positive side - last time I took my car in for that light it was just a little clogged tube. The guy blew some air through it and sent me on my way.

I am resorting to hiring a handy man for the "honey do" stuff. I know I have more time then you but we have a half finished remodel and a page and a half list of stupid stuff that needs to be finished. The bathroom paint is one of them.

  • I guess the good side of being off of work beginning today is these things can be handled.

BUT I am totally flipped out by the flea.  I'm hoping she picked it up outside since I had just brought her in but ick.  And the car - I have a VW Passat that hates me.  Truly hates me...when I pass a repair shop it costs 1000 dollars.  (Seriously, 3 times already).  It's like the abusive relationship that you can't give up...I know I should sell it but I feel like I've already put too much time and money into it.

Thanks for the positive words though!

  • Your rainbow is coming soon!
  • re: the flea....I know up there in NY it probably seems like a big deal, but down here we fight them all summer long (and most of the winter, too) because of the heat and humidity.  Put the medicine on your dog, don't get it on your skin, and if he's itching give him a  benadryl.  He should be just fine.  And fleas aren't like lice where you have to wash everything to get rid of them.  Once your dog has the medicine on him, they'll die.

Good luck---I know what you mean about when it rains it pours.
