This is too much for me to handle. I have been unhappy with my dr. office for a long time anyway and this most recent issue has me wanting to change. I currently go to Carolina Family and Sports Medicine in Cary, so don't recommend them
I don't like them now that they have gotten much larger. Especially since they won't even let me talk to my dr - or really his nurse because in the past it has always been the nurse that called me back. I just wanted to ask if it is normal for an ear infection to last as long as this has been going on. I don't think I should need an appointment to ask what is typical and then be told, no your ear infection has been going on far too long, please come in and see us. Instead she just said that I need an appointment before he can even talk to me and that has not been the case in the past. Then she wouldn't let me have a Saturday appointment even after telling her I went to Urgent Care in the first place because I don't have time available to take off work. She said I could try to call back tomorrow and if something is available they will let me know then, so I guess I will do that.
I am so sick of not being able to hear a thing in my right ear and it is constantly draning. It is SO gross.
Re: Anyone want to recommend their primary physician?
Wow, I am so sorry that you're having that trouble. I use CFSM too, but I haven't had to see them in 2 years. I have thought about shopping around for another doctor though b/c my doctor (Dr. Stevens) has very limited appts. I love him, but I want to be able to see my doctor any day of the week.
Sorry that's no help for you. For this, you may want to consider seeing an ENT though. DH goes to see Raleigh ENT, and they are always able to get him in on the same day.

I've always used North Hills Internal & love them. I have seen Dr. Maruchek in the past, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE their female PA, who is an asthma specialist.
I can always get in the day I need to & usually with Dr. M. Now that I am willing to see the PA, I can easily see her whenever I want.
DH and I both go to Western Wake Associates...we like Cindy humphries the Nurse Practioner and Dr. Meredith. I had not gotten a dr. in the cary area and was sick and Dh already went there so I called and the got me in that day. i've been very happy with them and so have my IL's!
I'm sorry to hear that! I go to CFP&SM in Cary myself, and never had any problems, but at the same time, I haven't been there in a LONG time (knock on wood, very healthy, and obv. during PG I saw my OB...) I really like them, and am sorry you are having such a hard time w/ them!
G/L, I hope you find a doc that works for you ASAP so you get the help you need!
I called Raleigh ENT and while I was asking about appointments I noticed on the website that they have a nurse available to speak with so I asked if I could talk to the nurse and with no questions asked the receptionist gets the nurse on the phone for me! I have not seen these people a day in my life but she let me explain my situation and she said it is normal for it to take about 2 weeks (I am only at a week). That was service!
Thanks
