Do you have portable stands and where did you get yours? I'm looking at this one on Amazon and I'm not sure if there might be a better deal somewhere? Is there a place to get this stuff locally? I'm also not sure if I might need a light.
I don't actually plan on taking anyone's photo's other than my family (okay, the twins!) but I need it to be portable so I can take it down when I'm not using it. I also think although that set comes with muslin backdrops that I may need to buy felt too? What do you think?
I don't even know where to start with lights.....
Re: Photogs -- backgrounds/stands/lights
If I find out any info as Im looking, I will pass it along your way! Maybe the more experiences photogs can help us both!
GL!
Oh -- and although I don't think this one is for me, this comes highly recommended as a starter set from a bunch of people I work with. I just don't see me using a green screen and then adding "fake" backgrounds after the photos.

Oh -- and this Savage brand one comes recommened as well....decisions, decisions!
I wish I had some answers for you! I have no space for a studio, but I did just purchase a seamless paper background. I ordered mine from Adorama.com which is the site I buy most of my photography stuff from.

I have the Savage backdrop stand and it is great-- durable, easy to put up and down (I use mine on location), and not too heavy to carry around.
I have a white lightning 800 light (flash, not continous) with an umbrella and light stand. It works pretty well in combination with my reflector, but I may get another light sometime soon.
I am not sure where you are located, but Kenmore Camera is awesome. They will work out deals for you, know you by name if you shop there often enough, and are extremely knowledgeable about the items they carry.
Robyn~ If you want something super cheap you could do the ghetto stand like I did! LoL I had my dad build me a backdrop stand out of PVC pipe. This is the picture I gave him and he whipped it out in one day. It works for at home but I'll be buying a portable one soon to actually take places.
B&H is awesome for camera stuff though! I ordered my camera, lenses, and all my seamless paper from them.
